Geothermal is a renewable source of energy. Water is pumped down onto hot rocks and heated up or turned into steam. The steam can then be used to drive a turbine and a generator. Geothermal power stations tend to only be found in certain parts of the Earth that have geothermal areas, such as Iceland or New Zealand.
