Physics Words: Transparent

Simple Description

When an object allows enough light through it so that shapes and objects can be made out

Further Detail

The words "transparent" and "translucent" are different. If an object is transparent it means that enough light comes through for you to be able to see the object (e.g. glass is transparent). A translucent object allows light through but you can't make out a shape behind it (e.g. tracing paper is translucent).
